Niccolai Elio Nursery is today an innovative and dynamic company managed with professionalism and enthusiasm by the three brothers Giacomo, Paolo and Luca who, armed with their father’s experience, have decided to focus on high quality products and an extremely personalized service, together with a high respect for the environment.
In the nursery, which occupies an area of approximately 20 ha, there are from small potted plants to the specimen plants. Our production, in fact, is able to satisfy various types of Italian and foreign customers: garden, retail chains, government agencies, landscape architects, production and sales nurseries, cash & carry, business landscape.
The nursery is however large, but deliberately not boundless: in this way the volume of production allows us to keep the best quality of the product under control, as well as the customer's requirements, modulating time to time the service in relation to their tastes, preferences and specific requirements.
At the same time protecting the environment: besides using a rain water irrigation recovery system,Niccolai Elio Nursery is one of the first companies to use also clean energy. From the beginning of 2010, We have started using new photo-voltaic panels on the roofs of our sheds and, with a production of 55 Kw, they are able to cover all the electricity needs of the company and they also produce more energy which is fed into the national circuit.
Moreover, the nursery has a drop irrigation facilities. The advantages of this irrigation technique are many:
• m-more uniform distribution of water reducing almost completely water wasting
• easy control of the whole irrigation net by automatic irrigation systems
• possibility to distribute fertilizers in the irrigation water (fertirrigation)
• energy saving
• increased monitoring of water according to the needs of the plants
